Ashley Gordon founded Mockingbird to create beautiful books with not-for-profit organizations to help them tell their compelling stories using the latest in publishing innovations. From the first published book in 2010, the mission has expanded to include digital strategy consulting to support publishing-related organizations implementing new technology, and now incorporates social impact project management that marries for-profit and nonprofit companies in the promotion of a common cause.

Going beyond the books, Ashley is actively involved in promoting literacy and reading in the community. She is co-host of the literary talk shows Reading for the Rest of Us and He Read, She Read, produced by the public media department of Troy University. She is on the boards of global and local organizations including Library For All and the Fairhope Educational Enrichment Foundation, was a founding board member of the Alabama Book Festival, and established creative writing and publishing programs for organizations including Aid to Inmate Mothers and Writers Blocks after-school outreach.

Mockingbird makes a difference.
